Marana Hooters evacuated for bomb scare

The Marana Hooters restaurant was evacuated on Sunday, at approximately 4;15 p.m., due to a bomb threat. The Marana Police Department received a call from a Hooter’s patron who saw a suspicious device on his car and called 9-1-1.

The man had walked out to his car parked at the restaurant located on Camino Martin Road and discovered the suspicious device.

Marana Police responded and contacted the Pima County SWAT and bomb squad. Police evacuated 200 people from Hooters and the Bedroxx Bowling center.
