Oro Valley residents warned to check bank accounts after mailbox break-ins

According to the Oro Valley Police Department, mail thefts have occurred between December 21-22, 2013. A significant number of mailboxes were broken into in the following communities: Seasons Loop Ave/Sterling, Heather Glenn Place/Glenn Abbey Place and Eton Drive/First Ave.

A black Ford F150 pick-up truck was seen in the area where these thefts occurred.

Oro Valley Police are asking the public to check their bank accounts and credit card statements and to notify the police if they notice any unusual activity on their accounts. The police are reminding the public to avoid leaving delivered packages outside for extended periods of time and do not send cash in the mail.
