In July of 2014, the Tucson Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that a person in the Tucson area was sharing child pornography on the internet. An investigation was initiated which led detectives to a residence in the 3000 block of West Sun Ranch Trail.
On September 9, 2014, detectives served a search warrant at the residence with assistance from the U.S. Marshals. During the service of the search warrant, detectives located evidence that implicated Van Dyck as the suspect involved in the downloading and sharing of child pornography. He was booked into the Pima Jail.
Van Dyck is involved at the local, county and national levels of youth soccer as a referee and youth soccer tournament organizer. These organizations include the Pima County Soccer League, the Soccer Federation Referee Program and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. Van Dyck also advertises locally for piano lessons for children 6 to 14 years of age. Van Dyck also has contact with the public through his business, Premier Landscaping.
