Tucson residents slept while burglar worked

garciaTucson Police arrested 21-year old Gabriel Garcia hours after he burglarized a home while the residents were inside sleeping.

The incident happened during the early morning hours of October 10th, at a residence near Grant/Swan. The residents woke up to find their home burlarized as well as their vehicle missing from their driveway. During the initial investigation, officers discovered evidence which led them to the home of a possible suspect. Burglary Detectives responded to assist in the investigation.

Officers responded to a residence in the 2700 block of North Fair Oaks Avenue and made contact with multiple individuals. A search warrant was obtained for the residence. The majority of the stolen property was recovered and returned to the victims. The vehicle was located soon after near Columbus/Glenn and returned to the owner.

Police arrested Garcia for 1 count of Burglary and 1 count of Theft of Means of Transportation. He was booked into the Pima County Jail.
