Two men arrested after robbing a female at Tucson hotel

tucson-crooksTwo men were arrested after robbing a female of her luggage in the parking lot a local hotel.

The incident occurred on December 29th at about 4:20 a.m. at the Marriott Hotel in the 300 block of South Williams Boulevard. The adult female victim parked her vehicle and was walking towards the front of the hotel. A vehicle pulled up alongside her and a male exited the car. He asked her for the time then grabbed her bag and started pulling on it. The victim struggled for the bag but the suspect was able to take it after a strap broke. He ran back to the vehicle and immediately fled the area. The victim called 911 and was able to give a vehicle description.

A responding officer located a matching vehicle and stopped it near 21st Street and Magnolia. The passenger, 23-year old Gabriel Peralta, was identified as the suspect who took the bag from the victim. He and the driver, 20-year old Mohammad Badri, were arrested and booked into the Pima County Jail for 1 count of Aggravated Robbery. The property was located in the vehicle and returned to the victim.
