Phoenix police detectives are investigating a fatal shooting involving a man that happened just after 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the area of 69th Drive and Fillmore Street.
Phoenix police officers and the Phoenix Fire Department responded to a crash near 600 North 69th Drive where a vehicle struck a parked car. When units arrived, they found a man, later identified as 18-year-old Alan Roman, in a vehicle with a gunshot wound. Roman was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Homicide detectives responded to investigate the shooting. Information about what led up to the shooting is still under investigation. If anyone has any information, they are encouraged to call Phoenix Police or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO (Spanish).
