The John Backer for Supervisor campaign has created the website MissingMatt.com to help residents understand the attendance scorecard for Supervisor Heinz who is being paid well, but not consistently or effectively doing his job for the people of Pima County. In fact, Heinz has only been present and on time 15% of the time for the 20 Board of Supervisor meetings to this point in 2024.

MissingMatt.com includes a video “Does Anyone Know Where Matt Heinz Is?”, Heinz attendance summaries for 2024 and 2023, quotes for former County Supervisor Bronson, current County Supervisor Christy, and a quote provided by Supervisor Heinz himself. The website also provides details for the BOS meetings for 2024 and 2023 including the Pima County video link for each BOS meeting.

Does Anyone Know Where Matt Heinz Is

“As I campaign across Pima County, asking Republicans, democrats, and Independents for their votes, the one question I am commonly asked is, “Where is Matt Heinz? I can honestly say that I don’t know, but what I do know is that Pima County residents deserve representation on the Board of Supervisors,” said Backer. “They deserve to have a supervisor who makes constituents services as top priority and that includes being present for meetings especially during the Call to the Public portion.”

“I will represent all of my constituents – regardless of party. I intend to make myself available to them in and out of scheduled Board meetings. The only way anyone can do that is by showing up,” concluded Backer.
