Late Afternoon Shooting Leaves Man Dead In Phoenix

Phoenix Police detectives are investigating the late afternoon fatal shooting of a man.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on November 27, 2024, around 3:00 p.m., officers responded to the area of 21st Avenue and Thunderbird Road regarding a fight where someone was possibly shot. When officers arrived, they located two adult males, one with a gunshot wound. This man was transported to a nearby hospital where he did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The other adult male was detained at the scene.

The man detained was interviewed and ultimately released pending the ongoing investigation. Once complete this case will be submitted to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.
