Phoenix Police Department detectives are looking for the next of kin of a man that died in a collision on Sunday night.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on March 30, 2025, around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle collision near 43rd Avenue and Ocotillo Road. When officers arrived, they found both a gray and a red vehicle involved in a collision. The driver of the gray vehicle was unresponsive and was rushed by the fire department to the hospital. He later died from his injuries. The driver of the red vehicle suffered minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
Detectives believe that the gray vehicle was heading northbound on 43rd Avenue and was seen by witnesses changing lanes frequently to pass slower vehicles, just before the collision. While approaching Ocotillo Road, the gray vehicle lost control, veered into oncoming traffic, and collided with the red vehicle, which was heading southbound on 43rd Avenue. The investigation remains active as detectives process the scene and search for the man’s next of kin.
