The Surprise Police Department has identified remains found in a landfill as those belonging to a Phoenix woman.
According to the Department, on April 17, just before 7 a.m., a landfill employee located what appeared to be a deceased body and immediately contacted law enforcement.
The Surprise Police Department is working with the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death, and notify the deceased’s next of kin.
