On September 30, 2012, at about 2:30 a.m., deputies from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 9-1-1 call from a female caller who reported a stranger had just come inside her home and sexually assaulted her. Deputies learned that the victim woke to discover an unknown male in her bedroom.
At some point she was assaulted by the man and later she was successful in convincing the assailant to leave her home. Once the suspect left the residence, the victim immediately called 9-1-1. She saw the male walk away from her property and provided that description to responding deputies.
Evidence found at the scene by Pima County detectives led to a nearby residence. Inside that residence were several individuals. One of the males, later identified as Robert Wayne Wilson, could be linked to the incident by evidence. He was taken into custody.
Further investigation showed that Wilson was a registered sex offender and currently on parole. Wilson was arrested and booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Center on charges of Sexual Assault, 2nd Degree Burglary and Kidnapping.
