Today, the 4-2 Arizona Wildcats are in Boulder, Colo. to take on the 3-3 Colorado Buffaloes in game seven of the UA season. The game kicks off at 6 p.m. (MDT) – 5 p.m. Tucson time – and will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks.
The Wildcats and Buffaloes last met on Nov. 10, 2012 in Tucson where the Wildcats saw a UA Homecoming victory of 56-31. This year the teams will go head-to-head during the University of Colorado’s annual Back to Boulder Homecoming.
Arizona comes into Saturday’s game after defeating the Utah Utes at Arizona Stadium 35-24 during UA Family Weekend. The win was Arizona’s 575th all-time victory.
In that game, junior running back Ka’Deem Carey set a school single-game record with 40 carries and ran for the third-most yards in school history, 236. His 44-yard touchdown burst with 90 seconds left in the game sealed the win for the Wildcats.
Carey leads the nation in rushing and on Monday was named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week. That marks the third Pac-12 weekly honor for the Wildcat this season. Junior safety Tra’Mayne Bondurant was named Defensive Player of the Week for his two-interception effort against Northern Arizona University on Aug. 30, and senior kicker Jake Smith earned the Special Teams Player of the Week honor after setting a school record with 16 points in a win at the University of Nevada Las Vegas on Sept. 7.
After Saturday’s game, Arizona has one more road trip before it hosts three-straight home games. The Wildcats will travel to Berkeley, Calif., to take on the California Golden Bears on Nov. 2. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. (PDT) with a live television broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks.
