Douglas Port smugglers use every part of truck for pot

douglas-portOfficers at the Port of Douglas seized nearly 187 pounds of marijuana yesterday, inside of a Ford van occupied by two female Mexican nationals.

Customs and Border Protection officers removed 149 packages of marijuana from throughout the interior of the vehicle, including the rear seats, quarter panels and door panels.

The drugs, worth an estimated $93,000, and vehicle were seized. The subjects’ visas were cancelled and both individuals were turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
