WWII Memorial dedicated today, 72nd Pearl Harbor anniversary

pearl-harbor-400Secretary of State Ken Bennett will formally dedicate the nearly completed WWII Memorial today, the 72nd anniversary of Pearl Harbor. The governor, in honor of the brave Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice at Pearl Harbor, ordered flags at all state buildings to be flown at half-staff from yesterday until sunset today.

Today’s event begins at 9:00, with the arrival of Run to the Guns Commemorative Motorcycle Run. Staff Sgt. Tim Chambers, (www.thesalutingmarine.com) retired U.S. Marine, will salute veterans as the motorcycle cavalcade roars past.
