Celebrate Mardi Gras and feed Southern Arizona’s hungry

mardi-grasThe Community Food Bank’s Mardi Gras 2014 event will be held on Saturday, February 8th, so pick out your masks…polish your dancing shoes…and prepare to light up the night. This year’s celebration will be presented by Casino Del Sol Resort, 5655 West Valencia Road, Tucson, AZ 85757.

Mardi Gras 2014 begins at 6:30 p.m. at Casino Del Sol and will celebrate this year’s King and Queen of Carnivale, Paul and Briana Volpe. The event will feature a New Orleans-style menu accompanied by live performances from Sol Axé, Flam Chen plus music by 80’s & Gentlemen and Sunset Red. Costumes are not required but are encouraged.

“Our committee is looking to bring Mardi Gras to life in Tucson,” said Stephanie Bankemper, Event Chair. “Don’t miss this one of a kind event featuring New Orleans style food, music, fun and festivities on February 8th.”
