Aroma of fresh pot leads to arrests

marijuana-tucsonJust before 8:00pm Friday night a two-man unit from Operations Division Midtown was on routine patrol when they recognized  a strong odor that smelled like fresh marijuana. They traced the smell to a residence in the 2600 block of North Forgeus Avenue.

The Officers contained the home and a search warrant was obtained. SWAT personnel responded and two men eventually exited the residence and were detained.

An elaborate grow operation was found inside the home. Over 150 marijuana plants in various stages of development were seized from the residence, as well as multiple weapons and ammunition. The two adult males that exited the home were arrested for their involvement.
