Tucson Police have made an arrest in the murder that occurred Friday night at a residence in the 400 block of East 5th Street. Officers arrested 26-year old Graham Karber this morning near 4th Avenue and 9th Street. The victim in this incident has been identified as 29-year old Amanda Vinson.

Detectives determined that Mr. Karber and Ms. Vinson resided together at the residence on 5th Street as roommates. Detectives confirmed that Mr. Karber was responsible for the murder of Ms. Vinson but the cause of death has yet to be determined.

On Sunday morning October 19th, at about 9:00 a.m., an officer conducting follow up investigation in the area spotted Mr. Karber who immediately fled on foot. After a short chase, Mr. Karber was taken into custody without incident near 4th Avenue and 9th Street. He was booked into the Pima County Jail for 1 count of 1st Degree Murder.

Numerous department resources to include Investigative, Patrol, and Specialty Units worked tirelessly around the clock which resulted in the eventual apprehension of Mr. Karber.

At some point after the murder, Mr. Karber cut his hair and beard. His booking photograph, as well as a picture of him prior to the homicide is included. Detectives are asking anyone who may have spoken to Mr. Karber in the last 2 days or have any information regarding the homicide, to contact 911 or 88-CRIME
