Snows falls, roads close around Arizona

weatherWinter weather has created driving conditions and restricted travel on highways in Arizona.

The following closures are in place:

Interstate 40, both directions, between mileposts 72-161. Eastbound traffic is being taken off the highway at US 93. Westbound traffic is being taken off in Williams at milepost 161. Crews are working to remove disabled vehicles and clear the road of snow and ice for safe travel.

US 60 eastbound is closed about five miles east of Globe.

SR 87 southbound is closed at milepost 247, just south Payson.
