Ducey scores Marine as director of Office of Boards and Commissions

petersGovernor Doug Ducey scored as amazing pick on Wednesday in his appointment of Ryan Peters as director of the Governor’s Office of Boards and Commissions.

“Ryan has a reputable career of service on a federal, state and local level,” said Governor Ducey. “Whether serving in the United States Marine Corps or as a district representative for Congressman Issa, Ryan has a strong grasp of public policy, constituent services and veterans’ issues. His experience and knowledge of government at all levels will be valuable in this position and to our administration.”

Prior to joining the Governor’s Office of Boards and Commissions, Mr. Peters served for nearly six years as a district representative for United States Congressman Darrell Issa. After a medical discharge ended his Marine Corps career, Peters looked for new ways to serve and landed with Issa. As a Veterans Service Specialist working for Issa, Peters worked extensively with wounded soldiers and Marines at Camp Pendleton.

Peters was director of the Congressional Service Academy Nomination Process for the 49th Congressional District of California. Peters received his B.S. in Justice Studies from Arizona State University in 2007.
