Flagstaff Police investigate threatening calls

On Monday, April 20, 2015 the Flagstaff Police Department was dispatched to 3223 N. Fourth Street, Mount Elden Middle School in regards to a threat call. Staff at the school received a computer generated call indicating threats to the students.

At approximately 1408 hours the Flagstaff Police Department was dispatched to 850 N. Bonito, Marshall Elementary School in regards to a threats call as well. Staff at this school indicated another computer generated call indicating threats to the students.

Officers with the Flagstaff Police Department were immediately dispatched to both schools and their surrounding areas. Both searches resulted in negative contact with any suspicious armed persons.

The Flagstaff Police Department will continue to work with the Flagstaff Unified School District to investigate these suspicious calls. The Flagstaff Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying any information which may lead to the arrest of the person(s) making these threats.
