DPS seeks witnesses of hit-and-run collision

Arizona Department of Public Safety looking for witnesses of hit-and-run collision to identify the driver who is suspected of impairment.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety (ADPS) requests anyone with information regarding the driver of the following hit-and-run collision to call (602) 223-2212:

On June 23, at around 5:38 p.m., a hit-and-run collision occurred on westbound State Route 202 at the Power Road off ramp. A black Chrysler 300 rear ended a Kia station wagon on the exit ramp and at least four occupants exited the Chrysler. Once the vehicle had stopped, the occupants fled the scene on foot.

An unidentified witness reported the driver of the Chrysler as a white male, with tattoos across his chest, and wearing a “Gilligan hat.” The Kia was driven by a mother with her 13-month-old infant. There were no reported injuries.

Troopers located and questioned four individuals and took two into custody. One was believed to be intoxicated and matched the previous witness description.

Anyone who witnessed the driver exit the Chrysler is encouraged to call (602) 223-2212.
