Suspicious Package In Sierra Vista Not A Bomb

On Monday, the Sierra Vista Police Department reported a suspicious package to the Cochise County Sheriff’s office, that was located on St. Andrews Drive. The discovery prompted the closure of Buffalo Soldier Trail between Cherokee and Highway 92.

A Bomb Technician from the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office responded along with several EOD units from Phoenix and after an x-ray of the box, it was determined that there were no explosives inside.

Buffalo Soldier Trail was re-opened.
