Troopers Looking For Cadillac Escalade Involved In Hit-And-Run

A 22-year-old woman from Apache Junction was seriously injured in a crash that occurred today at 12:25 p.m. on U.S. 60 eastbound at Higley. Troopers say a Blue Cadillac Escalade entered the freeway from the eastbound on-ramp at Greenfield, made an unsafe lane change, cutting off the vehicle driven by the victim. Her vehicle veered into and struck a truck hauling lumber then rolled. The victim was taken to Chandler Regional Hospital where she remains in critical condition.

Troopers say the driver of the Cadillac SUV pulled off onto the shoulder of the freeway following the collision but left the scene before Troopers arrived.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run vehicle, its driver and/or this incident is encouraged to call the DPS Duty Office as soon as possible at 602-223-2212.
