Yuma Bust Net THC Butter, Brownies

On Friday, March 18, 2016, at approximately 6:37 a.m., investigators with the Yuma County Narcotics Task Force (YCNTF)—which is a multi-agency task force comprised of officers and agents from the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, the Somerton Police Department, the U.S. Border Patrol, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency and the U.S. Homeland Security Investigations—and with the assistance of additional YCSO Deputies, HSI Agents, and Border Patrol Agents, served a narcotics search warrant at a residence in the 3600 block of W. Linda Lane in Yuma, Arizona.

With the assistance of YCSO K-9 “Jax,” the search led to the discovery of approximately 1.16 lbs of methamphetamine, 11 grams of cocaine, 4.091 lbs of marijuana, 5.26 lbs of THC oil, 2.69 lbs of THC butter, 226 THC oil cartridges, 400 narcotic pills, multiple marijuana edibles to include brownies, dough, and cake pops, and paraphernalia consistent with street sales and marijuana extractions.

The suspect of the search warrant, Emmanuel Mendoza, 28, of Yuma, AZ, was arrested for possession of a dangerous drug for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of a narcotic drug for sale, manufacturing a narcotic drug, possession of narcotic drug equipment, possession of narcotic drugs, possession of marijuana for sale, transportation of marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The suspect’s spouse, Jazmin Nunez, 25, of Yuma, AZ, was arrested for possession of a narcotic drug for sale, manufacturing a narcotic drug, possession of narcotic drug equipment, possession of narcotic drugs, possession of marijuana for sale, transportation of marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both subjects were booked into the Yuma County Detention Center.
