Pima County detectives identified 22-year-old Mateo Rodriguez as the suspect in multiple armed robberies in Pima County and the City of Tucson. His most recent alleged robbery occurred at approximately 6:57 p.m. on April 20, 2016 at the McDonalds located at 2990 W. Valencia Road.
The suspect is alleged to have driven through fast food restaurant drive-throughs and pays for his orders. As the restaurant employee opens the cash register, the suspect displays a black handgun, and steals money out of the cash register drawer.
Rodriguez was booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Center on the following charges:
• Armed Robbery (7 Counts)
• Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (2 Counts)
• 1st Degree Burglary (2 Counts)
• Possession of a Narcotic Drug (1 count)
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (1 count)
