On Saturday May 21, 2016 at approximately 12:47 pm, the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a woman who advised that she went to a party on Friday night with some friends and she did not know her current location.
Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue personnel responded to the area of the coordinates from the woman’s cell phone which was around mile post 10 on Ghost Town Trail near Pearce.
The Search and Rescue Team had training in the northern part of the county and were able to respond quickly, along with air support from Geronimo.
SAR volunteers and a new k-9 were able to track the woman and find her. Geronimo landed and transported the woman to a safe location before being transported to the Willcox hospital for evaluation and treatment of dehydration.
