Detectives with the Robbery/Assault Unit have identified the suspect in the May 12, 2016 robbery at the Circle K located at 5818 South Palo Verde Road as 28-year-old Zed Zebedee Alvarado. Mr. Alvarado is the suspect in at least six cases in Pima County and possibly more in the City of Tucson.
When deputies arrived they learned that a man entered the store, told the cashier that he had a gun, and demanded money. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Detectives with the Robbery/Assault Unit reviewed surveillance video and believe the same man is responsible for other robberies around Tucson.
Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
The suspect is described as:
- A Hispanic or Middle Eastern male with black hair and beard
- Approximately 5’07” to 5’10” in height, 170-180 pounds
- Last seen wearing a black beanie, camouflage jacket, and black pants
