Pima County Family Arrives To Find Home Invasion

On Saturday, at approximately 1:40 p.m., Pima County deputies responded to the 6400 block of North Calle Lottie for a report of a home invasion. When deputies arrived, they learned that a family returned home to find there were three men stealing items out of their home. The family immediately called 9-1-1.

Detectives learned at least two of the suspects were armed with hand guns and at least one shot was fired as they fled. One of the suspects fled on foot and the other two fled in a white Mercedes sedan with white wheels and low profile tires.

Though an extensive search of the surrounding area, deputies were able to locate 21-year-old Christopher Rice. Rice was arrested for armed robbery, aggravated robbery, and first degree burglary in connection to this incident. Rice was booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex for his charges.

Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the other two suspects. They are described as Hispanic males, 20 to 30 years old with average builds. They should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1.
