On Monday, October 24, 2016, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Pima County Sheriff’s deputies discovered a gold Nissan Maxima left in the parking lot of the Valero gas station located at 4685 East Valencia Road. Through investigation, deputies learned the vehicle had been stolen from a residence located inside Tucson Police Department’s (TPD) jurisdiction.
After speaking with staff at the Valero and reviewing video surveillance, deputies were able to determine the vehicle had been left in the parking lot on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at approximately 6:30 p.m. Video surveillance also revealed the vehicle had been parked by a male suspect who had entered the Valero that same night. The suspect then left the area on foot in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as:
- Caucasian male, appearing to be in his late 20’s
- Approximately 5’10” in height, medium build
- Last seen wearing a gray Arizona Diamondbacks baseball hat, gray Air Jordan shirt, and blue jeans
The Auto Theft Unit has taken over this investigation and is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 9-1-1.
