Sierra Vista Men Arrested In Connection With Two shootings

An ongoing investigation into two shootings that occurred early on the morning of Christmas Eve led to the arrest of two Sierra Vista men on drug charges Thursday after a search warrant was served at a local apartment complex.

The Sierra Vista Police Department Special Response Team served the high risk warrant in the 4200 block of East Busby Drive at about 7:45 a.m. today, near the area where one of the two shootings occurred just after 2 a.m. on Dec. 24. Police believe the second shooting happened in the Montebello subdivision near Mediterranean Drive a short time later. No one was injured in either incident.

SVPD police officers made two arrests as a result of the search warrant served this morning. David Flores, 25, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana for sale, misconduct with weapons in connection with a drug felony, and misconduct with weapons as a prohibited possessor. Amier Mays, 20, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both men were booked into Cochise County Jail.

Anyone who has information regarding the two shootings is asked to contact SVPD Detective Tom Ransford at (520) 452-7500.
