Tucson Man In December Crash At PCC Dies Of Injuries

On December 28, 2016, just after 11:30 a.m., Tucson Police officers and members from the Tucson Fire Department responded to a serious injury single vehicle collision into a wall at 2202 W. Anklam Rd. Upon arrival, they located 77-year-old James W. White with obvious signs of trauma.

Mr. White was immediately transported to Banner University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. On January 7, 2017 Mr. White succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Detectives learned Mr. White was driving a white 2008 Toyota Solara westbound on Anklam Rd. approaching the Pima Community College West Campus. He drifted north and drove on the shoulder for a short period of time before striking a small block wall with the campus logo. Mr. White was not wearing a seatbelt. Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in this collision.
