Mexican National Heading South With Weapons Stopped At Border

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a 21-year-old man from Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, on Jan. 9 for attempting to smuggle a combination of tactical weapons, ammunition and magazines into Mexico through the Port of Nogales.

Officers conducting outbound operations selected the man for further inspection of his Chevrolet truck as he attempted to drive into Mexico through the Dennis DeConcini crossing. As a result, officers found the following items in a large speaker box: seven tactical rifles, one handgun, two holsters and a variety of magazines and ammunition.

Officers seized the weapons, associated items and the vehicle. The subject was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.

2 questions: Were these weapons gunwalked by ATF and was he in the country illegally?

Exactly. Did he get them from Obama/Holder in one of their finer moments of “giving the bad guys guns so we can track them?”

Much like they are doing in Chicago.

Mexico isn’t concerned about what comes across the border in our direction.

Why should we care what goes in their direction?

Mexico’s Government has for decades turned it’s corrupt blind eye to the illicit drug trade heading north. Mexico has previously gone as far to lecture the US on it’s consumption problem of drugs while always avoiding any relationship to it’s exporting of drugs into the US.
This attitude of export immunity Vs. lecturing the US on it’s consumption woes has done little to garner any support over what Mexico want’s.
I concur that since Mexico couldn’t give a rats fanny over what flows north why should care what flows south? Cooperation is a two-way street and Mexico has always been the bratty redheaded step child at the family reunion when taking it’s place at the table of responsible civilized nations.
Sadly Mexico suffers from the dreaded Spanish influence, because it seems where ever the Spanish step foot in the new world from the Caribbean to south and central America all the way to the Philippines, we have rampant poverty, out of control graft and unashamed corruption.
