Testimony Before the House Intelligence Committee

FBI Director James Comey and National Security Agency Admiral Michael Rogers appeared before the House Intelligence Committee in a public, not secret, session.

The hearing is premised on the following rumors: Russia meddled in the last presidential election in support of President Trump and against Hillary Clinton, and there was collusion between members of the Trump campaign and Russia.

Admiral Rogers started his testimony by saying he stands by the intelligence assessment issues in January.  I read the declassified assessment and found not one shred of evidence in it. Let us understand that the term assessment means evaluation, appraisal. It does not mean fact-based evidence. Assessment is opinion.

Representative Devin Nunes, Committee Chair, asked Admiral Rogers the following questions: Do you have any evidence that Russia cyber actors changed any vote tallies in the state of Michigan? How about the state of Pennsylvania? The state of Wisconsin? The state of Florida? The state of North Carolina? The state of Ohio?

Admiral Rogers answered no to each question.

“Nunes: Director Comey, do you have evidence at the FBI that any votes were changed in the states I mentioned to Admiral Rogers?

Comey: No.”

For those of you who have not seen the movie Snowden, or read the Snowden books, or read any of the Wikileaks material, or have been secluded in a bomb shelter for the last few years, you will not know that the National Security Agency and the Central Intelligence Agency can break into any computer or smart phone. These agencies can actually use your desk top or lap top computer camera to spy on you, even if the device is turned off.

In addition, the Central Intelligence Agency has developed the ability to hack into another country or business or agency and make it look like it was a country other than the United States. This is important as the FBI investigation of Trump and associates started in July of 2016, long before Trump won the election. The investigaton started on Barack Obama’s watch.

Under questioning by Representative Schiff, ranking Democrat on the committee, Director Comey reiterated what the January Intelligence Report said, that Russian intelligence services hacked into a number of enterprises in the United States, including the Democratic National Committee. But how was this finding determined?  We now know that the Central Intelligence Agency can hack into any enterprise and make it look like the Russians did it.  And remember Homeland Security, under Obama, hacked into a number of State voter elections systems.

Director Comey admitted that the FBI counter-intelligence investigation of Trump and associates has been on-going since July 2016, meaning that the FBI, Justice Department and President Obama were all aware. It also means that for the first time in history, as far as we know, that two opposing presidential candidates were under investigation: one for criminal investigation and one for a counter-intelligence investigation. After nine months of investigation, the FBI found no evidence of collusion or coordination between Trump associates and the Russians.

Chairman Nunes asked Director Comey, “Do you think it is possible that the Russians would not be trying to infiltrate Hillary Clinton’s campaign, get information on  Hillary Clinton and try to get people that are around that campaign or the Clinton Foundation?” Comey refused to answer the question.

What is interesting is there was not one question regarding Hillary Clinton’s approval of the sale of 20% of all uranium production capacity in the United States to Russia while she was Secretary of State. The Clinton Foundation received over $145  million from nine donors  associated with Uranium One that made the purchase but the Clinton Foundation did not report it to the White House. Bill Clinton received $500,000 from a Russian investment bank with links to Vladimir Putin. No questions?

There was not one question concerning the Podesta Group registering as a lobbyist for Sberbank, the U.S. subsidiary of the Russian state bank. John Podesta and Tony Podesta owned the Podesta Group. Syberbank is controlled by Putin.  Among the Sberbank subsidiaries the Podesta Group represents are Cayman Island’s Troika Dialog Group Limited, Cyprus-based SBGB Cyprus Limited, and Luxombourg-based SB International, all used by Putin to launder money. Why no questions?

John Podesta, Hillary Clinton’s right hand in the presidential campaign, received 75,000 common shares of stock due to his membership on the executive board of energy company Joule Unlimited. Two months after joining the company, Vladimir Putin’s Rusano invested $35 million in the company, which is 20% of the total investment funds received from 2007 to 2013. Why no questions? Oh, Podesta transferred all 75,000 shares to his daughter. Really?

Further, a spokesman for Russian president Vladimir Putin admitted that Russian ambassador Sergei Kislyak met with Hillary Clinton numerous times when she was running for president on the 2016 campaign. According to Dmitry Peskov, it was not abnormal for an ambassador to keep in touch with candidates running in the national election. (http://joeforamerica.com/2017/03/kremlin-admits-connection-russia-hillary-clinton/. Why isn’t Hillary Clinton a subject of an FBI count-intelligence investigation? Why no questions?

If there was any collusion with the Russians, it appears that the Democrats are guilty. Even back in 1984, Ted Kennedy conspired with Russian to win an elections against Ronald Reagan. There is only one political party with a track record of working with Russia against the United States: the Democratic Party. Further, if Barack Obama was willing to spy on German Chancellor Angela Merkel, he certainly could have spied on Donald Trump. Remember, the notorious and illegal expansion of the Patriot Act was ordered by Obama.

It seems that all we have is fake news from the media, fake intelligence from the intelligence community, and a very apathetic FBI that investigates only half the rumor intelligence.  James Comey has damaged the institutional integrity of the FBI. In the best interest of the good men and women of the FBI, James Comey should resign.
