On May 2, 2017, an unknown male suspect entered the property located along the north side of Highway 96, mile marker 7.5, just north of “Pikes Place,” south of Bagdad, AZ. The 63-year-old male victim told deputies a suspect attempted to enter his home by climbing through the kitchen window just before 5 PM. When the victim, asleep at the time, was awoken he confronted the suspect who eventually fled. The victim was delayed in calling the Sheriff’s Office due to lack of phone service in the area. The victim provided a suspect description and indicated he could identify the suspect if seen again.

Late the next day, the victim contacted YCSO to report a stolen vehicle and burglary at “Pikes Place,” where he is a caretaker. According to the victim, the thefts occurred the prior day, May 2nd, sometime during the evening hours. At approximately 8:45 PM that evening, May 3rd, deputies were informed the stolen truck had been found abandoned in Kingman, AZ. During the investigation, deputies developed evidence showing the burglary suspect was the same suspect who abandoned the truck in Kingman.
