Florence’s Evie Clair Makes Arizona Proud In America’s Got Talent Performance

Evie Clair, a student from Magma Ranch K-8 School in Florence appeared on the NBC Television Show, “America’s Got Talent.” She stole the hearts of the celebrity judges.

One year ago, her father was diagnosed with late stage cancer and Evie has been doing everything she can to help him in his fight. She used her talents to create a music video that raised over $10,000 to help with her father’s hospital bills. She takes care of her sisters and helps with meals when her parents are at the hospital getting chemotherapy treatments.

Evie performed Christina Perri’s song “Arms,” a song she would often sing to her father.

“When my dad is having rough days, then I go up to his room and I sing him this song to help him feel better and just to give him comfort and strength to continue fighting,” Evie told the judges through her tears.

Evie won a standing ovation and four yes votes from the judges.

Evie Clair has opened for acts like the Duttons and worked with classmates to create a music video promoting kindness and forgiveness. Evie won a contest to sing the theme song for “Once I was a Beehive” and was able to perform it live for the official movie premier and had an original song featured on the movie soundtrack. In 2015 and 2016 Evie Clair was invited to participate in the world wide Special Christmas Initiatives through her church and has recently released more music.

Evie has performed the National Anthem at a Diamondback’s game, released two original pop singles, won her category at the 2014 Arizona’s Rockin’ with Talent and received a Judges Choice Award (one of three) in a world-wide contest for her cover of “Glorious.”
