The Anti-Religious Bigotry of Democrats

The focus of Senators Diane Feinstein and Dick Durbin on the religious faith of Amy Coney Barrett, a Notre Dame law professor nominated to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh District, was clearly anti-religious bigotry by two Marxist secular Senators in the Democratic Party.

Democrats zeroed in on whether Barrett’s personal views would override her legal judgment. I thought this anti-religious bigotry ended with the election of John F. Kennedy. Apparently not.

It is now time to focus on the Marxist dogma of Democrats and whether their favorable personal views of Marxism override their oath of office. The Marxist dogma lives loudly within Democrats.

“People of faith, whatever faith they may hold, should not be disqualified because of that faith from serving the public good,” commented Archbishop William E. Lori, chairman of the Catholic Bishop’s committee on religious liberty. But, if Democrats ignore Archbishop’s comment, then Democrats should be prevented from running for and holding office because of the Marxist dogma living loud within them.

Marxism is antithetical to the U.S. Constitution and Americanism. Marxists hate the limitations the Constitution places on government, which is why Democrats attempt to neutralize the Constitution through regulation and case law determined by Marxist leaning judges. Very simply, who would you trust more, a religious judge (regardless of religion) or a Marxist leaning judge who believes in a totalitarian philosophy?

What does a group of Marxist leaning judges look like? Gander a view of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit where 87% of its decisions between 2010-2015 were reversed by the U.S. Supreme Court; or the 11th Circuit where 85% of its decision were reverse by the U.S. Supreme Court during the same period; or the Ninth Circuit, where 79% of its cases were reversed by the U.S. Supreme Court.

In 2014, the Second Circuit had a reversal rate of 100%. It can’t get much worse than that.

The bigotry and dishonesty of Senators Feinstein and Durbin display a level of intolerance and hate symptomatic of far left Marxist stalwarts. Senator Bernie Sanders, a true blue Marxist, always has a religious litmus test for Trump Christian nominees, stating about nominee for deputy White House budget director Russell Vought that “this nominee is really not someone who this country is supposed to be about.” I suggest that the likes of Sanders, Feinstein and Durbin are not what our country is all about. These three Senators do not represent who Americans are.

The religious litmus test of the anti-religious left is really a litmus test on abortion and same-sex marriage. Let’s turn the tables around. Let’s question a Democratic judicial nominee and use the Marxist dogma as a litmus test . Does this judicial nominee favor abortion over life? Disqualified. Does this judicial nominee favor same-sex marriage over religious liberty? Disqualified. This is what the left is attempting to do to Republican judicial nominees.

Senator Durbin also attacked the religious faith of U.S. Court of Appeals Judge William Pryor and Chief Justice John Roberts, both Catholics. This is the same Senator Durbin that attempted to throw black children out of charter schools in Washington, D.C., as a favor to the teachers’ union. An attempt that was patently racist.

Richard Brinkley

Here’s the rub. Senator Durbin, self-professed Catholic, is questioning the loyalty to the Constitution of multiple judges who clearly have demonstrated their faithfulness to the law.  One has to wonder how he goes to confession based on his hypocritical double standard? Maybe he is a heretic Catholic.

It appears that Marxist Democrats keep forgetting the Constitution they swore to uphold. Article VI states in part “. . . no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”
