Border Patrol MRT Agents Rescue Mexican Man Fleeing From Assailants

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to the Mobile Response Team arrive by helicopter and stabilize a man who was shot in Mexico, then crossed into the U.S. and called 911.

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to the Mobile Response Team (MRT) responded to a 911 call Wednesday morning from a 41-year-old Mexican man who had been shot before crossing the border into the United States.

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to the Mobile Response Team arrive by helicopter and stabilize a man who was shot in Mexico, then crossed into the U.S. and called 911.

After a short search, MRT agents located the subject based on his general description of the area from where he was calling. Border Patrol agents trained as Emergency Medical Technicians arrived by helicopter and stabilized the man for transport to an awaiting air ambulance. He was then flown to a Tucson hospital for advanced medical care.

The man will be processed for immigration violations in accordance to Tucson Sector guidelines.
