Suspect In Two Botched, One Successful Armed Robbery Arrested

Reid wore a blond/gray wig, gloves, large women’s sunglasses, and heavy makeup

Yesterday, members of the Tucson Police Department arrested an individual involved in two attempted and one successful robbery. Two of the incidents occurred at nearby establishments on December 7th and 8th. Then on December 20, the same suspect attempted to rob the Compass Bank at 5045 E Broadway.

32 yr old Kyle Reid.

A witness was able to provide officers with a vehicle description and a partial license plate. As Operations Division Midtown officers responded to the scene and circulated in the area, one of our officers from our K9 Unit was able to identify a nearby residential address where the suspect vehicle may be located.

Officers responded to that location and found the suspect vehicle. They also contacted and subsequently arrested the suspect involved in all three of these incidents. He was identified as 32-year-old Kyle Reid. Evidence obtained at that location matched the disguise that Mr. Reid used during the robberies. In all three of the incidents, Mr. Reid wore a blond/gray wig, gloves, large women’s sunglasses, and heavy makeup (see the attached surveillance and booking photos).

Our officers and detectives, working with witnesses, conducted exceptional police work and were able to locate, identify, and subsequently arrest Mr. Reid for his involvement in these crimes.
