Flake Works With Feinstein On Gun Control Bill [Poll]

In the wake of the shooting at a Florida high school last week, Arizona Senator Jeff Flake announced he is working with Senator Dianne Feinstein to introduce legislation to raise the age requirement for purchasing rifles from gun dealers to 21 years.

Flake tweeted his intentions on Wednesday despite a plea from a grieving father, who called for politicians to avoid politicizing the tragedy. Andrew Pollack, whose daughter Meadow was killed in the Florida shooting, made his plea while participating in a listening session hosted by President Donald Trump.

According to the Daily Caller, “When Pollack took the microphone and told his gut wrenching story, everyone went silent.”

Pollack called on politicians to “work together and come up with the right idea — school safety. It is not about gun laws. That is another fight, another battle. Let’s fix the schools and then you guys can battle it out whatever you want. But we need our children safe.”
