McCain Might Return To Senate By Summer

Since before the Christmas break, Sen. John McCain has not be representing his constituents in Washington DC. On Tuesday, those constituents learned that they may not have representation until at least the summer.

In an interview on KTAR-FM’s Mac & Gaydos program, McCain’s daughter Meghan delivered the bad news.

“I wish I had an exact date, but I just don’t,” said Meghan McCain. “I am very cautiously optimistic about the summer.”

McCain, who is fighting an aggressive form of brain cancer at the age of 81 was hospitalized in December. Since then, he has not returned to the Capitol, and images of him reveal a man who appears to be wasting away.

Contrary to appearances, Meghan claimed her father is “doing really good.”

Just last week, McCain’s wife Cindy tweeted that her husband “is doing fine and has no intention of resigning!”
