Armed Foothills Robber, Accomplices Arrested

Late last week Pima County deputies responded to a call from a homeowner who was watching video surveillance of individuals breaking into her house.

While en route deputies received a call from a second homeowner where a male with a handgun was trying to break in. Fortunately, the suspect was not successful.

The male then ran to a third residence. When the homeowner opened the door, the male claimed he needed medical attention, at which point the homeowner noticed the male was armed with a handgun. The homeowner, being armed himself, disarmed the male and told him to sit on the couch.

While the homeowner was trying to get deputies’ attention, the male fled. The homeowner was able to point deputies in the direction the male had ran and a foot pursuit ensued. Deputies located the male inside of a residence where he was physically restraining a female homeowner. Deputies ultimately apprehended the male along with two females from the initial burglary.
