Attorney Scott K. Henderson of Tempe has been suspended for six months after continuing to practice law while serving an earlier 90-day suspension.
The Chief Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court ordered that Scott K. Henderson be suspended for six months after having considered an appeal by the State Bar of Arizona and a cross-appeal by Henderson.
Henderson was previously suspended for 90 days beginning in February of 2015, related to a felony DUI conviction. He took on a new client within days of the effective date of his suspension; met with a client without attorney supervision; drafted an engagement letter; and accepted $10,000 in prepaid legal fees, among other rule violations.
Scott K. Henderson’s six-month suspension is effective thirty days from the Court’s Order of May 11, 2018. The Court ordered that should Henderson reinstate following his suspension, he will be placed on probation for 18 months.
