Tucson Pedestrian Killed in First Avenue Collision

On October 09, 2018, just after 6:00 p.m., Tucson Police officers responded to a report of a serious-injury collision involving a pedestrian, 59-year-old Robert Alfred Connor, in the 3300 block of North First Avenue.

The Tucson Fire Department arrived and attempted to treat Mr. Connor, but he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives learned that the driver of a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe, was southbound on First Avenue when Mr. Connor was crossing the street from east to west. Mr. Connor was not in a crosswalk (painted or implied) when he was struck by the Santa Fe. The driver was not injured.

Detectives determined neither speed nor impairment were a factor in this collision. The investigation is on-going and no citations or arrests have been made at this time.
