Yuma Man Arrested For Armed Robbery

On Sunday, November 18, 2018, at approximately 10:33 p.m., the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Flying J, Giant located at 10800 E. North Frontage Road, Yuma in reference to an armed robbery.

Upon arrival, deputies learned that Jimmy McMullin armed with a large knife entered the store, jumped over the counter, stuck a knife in the side of the cashier and demanded the money. Cashier cooperated with the demand and was uninjured. The suspect fled the business with an undisclosed amount of money.

The YCSO Criminal Investigation Bureau responded to the scene and resumed the investigation. During the investigation Detectives located evidence that lead them to a home in the 10700 Block of South Amber Drive where the suspected was located.

McMullin was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center for Armed Robbery and Aggravated Assault.
