The Tucson Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting of
55-year-old Arturo Moreno Bustamant that occurred Saturday evening on Tucson’s South Side.
According to the Tucson Police Department, on December 29, 2018, just before 5:00 p.m., officers and members of the Tucson Fire Department responded to the area of South 6th Avenue and West Nebraska Street after receiving 911 calls about an unresponsive lying near the roadway. Upon arrival, first responders located Moreno Bustamant just east of the intersection with obvious signs of gunshot trauma. Tucson Fire rendered aid to him; however, he was pronounced deceased on scene shortly after arrival.
Detectives with the Tucson Police Homicide Unit responded to continue the investigation. Detectives are currently following up on leads, but are asking anyone with information to please call 88-CRIME, where you can remain anonymous. At this time, there are no suspects in custody.
