TUCSON — While Arizona communities struggle to meet the needs of illegal aliens from Central America after they have been processed at the border, U.S. Border Patrol agents report that the massive influx of aliens has not slowed.

Ajo Station Border Patrol agents encountered a large group of Central Americans after they illegally entered the country and surrendered to agents west of Lukeville Tuesday Morning, said a release from U.S. Customs and Border Patrol.

A group of 124 illegal immigrants was spotted by agents operating portable surveillance cameras west of the Port of Lukeville shortly after they entered the United States across a post-and-rail vehicle barrier.

The group consisted of mostly family units from Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras, including 14 unaccompanied juveniles.

Within 48 hours, Ajo agents processed almost 400 Central American migrants who surrendered to them in the Lukeville area.
