Winds Take Roof Off Tucson Home

A Tucson mom and her young son were forced out of their home on Tuesday when winds blew their roof in.

According to the Tucson Fire Department, strong winds were hit a neighborhood in Tucson just before calls to 9-1-1 were made reporting a roof had collapsed into a home in the 7500 block of East Lakeside Drive on Tuesday at approximately 3:00 p.m.

The resident and her young son, who were inside the home when the roof came away from the walls, were able to get into the backyard and without injuries.

The family of three had a place to stay and were not in need of Red Cross assistance.
