In a vote 305-102, the House passed the Emergency Supplemental Appropriations for Humanitarian Assistance and Security at the Southern Border Act.
Arizona’s representatives were split on the matter. Reps. Debbie Lesko (R), David Schweikert (R), Tom O’Halleran (D), Ann Kirkpatrick (D), and Greg Stanton (D) voted in favor, and Reps. Andy Biggs (R), Paul Gosar (R), Raul Grijalva (D), and Ruben Gallego (D) voted against it.
In total, 129 democrats and 176 republicans voted for the bill, and 95 democrats and 7 republicans voted against it.
The House has finally given up their frivolous charade & passed the Senate bill to aid humanitarian crisis at the Southern border. This fix is a band aid, but CBP needs immediate assistance to treat those crossing our border humanely & professionally while securing our border.

If you want to save lives, you must enforce your laws. Congress could have done much more to solve the humanitarian crisis at our southern border, but the Senate bill we passed today in the House will not be the cure that solves that crisis. pic.twitter.com/uaxi1aNc97

.@HouseGOP has asked our Democratic colleagues 8️⃣0️⃣ times to bring the #bipartisan funding bill passed by the Senate to the House for a vote. Now that we can all agree there is a crisis at our border, we must move forward with funding our border agents with the tools they need. pic.twitter.com/aFypJyDRkJ

One of the stories that won’t make many headlines, but shows the heroism of our Border Patrol agents and the perils of illegal entry into the United States. Democrats in Congress and criminal cartels are perpetuating this humanitarian crisis at the border. https://t.co/MNMv2EOPAE

We have a responsibility to stand up against the human rights abuses that the Trump administration is carrying out against the families and children in our government’s care. This bill does not do that, and I can not support it. (5/5)

I voted no on the border supplemental. This bill is completely insufficient to combat the humanitarian crisis that the Trump administration has created at our border. (1/)

Now I hope we can convince Speaker Pelosi and her Democrat colleagues to join Republicans in reforming our loose immigration laws, so we can solve the root of the problem and end the border crisis once and for all.
