2020 Lexus LX 570

2020 Lexus LX 570

Imagine if Lexus created a luxurious version of the Toyota Land Cruiser with every excess and you have the 2020 Lexus LX 570. There is even a cooler in the glove box area to keep beverages cold which is a huge plus in Phoenix during the summer. The Highlights were the bold looks , extravagant interior, comfortable seats, features and the engine. The ride is extremely nice as well and with this Luxury SUV you ride in comfort and style whether going to the Symphony or off roading on a mountain trail.  The quality is amazing and this LX 570 totally delivers on comfort, luxury, and exceptional quality.

Driving Experience

The ride is really nice. The LX 570 offers an especially great experience for passengers. As far as driving is concerned, you don’t feel the road as much because the ride is so comfortable which translates to less responsiveness and handling in turns. It’s a great ride and definitely has the off roading capabilities but I don’t know many people that would take a 100K vehicle off road, especially as nice as the body and paint are on this vessel.

Exterior

The LX 570’s commanding appearance dominates with style and grace. The version I tested was a beautiful blue called Nightfall Mica. This Lexus Flagship utility vehicle exterior design is sharp and an amazing blend of beauty and strength. The specialty grill design for the LX version and the front and rear spoilers along with bold lines and 20 inch Alloy wheels finish off the muscular, chiseled exterior.

Interior

The interior feels like you just walked into a 5 star resort. An iconic attention to detail, impeccable materials and handcrafted artistry create an eye-opening approach to luxury. I read that it takes 67 steps and 38 days to create the Linear Dark Mocha and Linear Espresso wood trims. You can rest assured Lexus has thought of everything when it comes to the interior. Gauges are bright and colorful, and really easy to see and read. There is the 12.3-inch Lexus Enform display conveniently placed. It handles the sound system, navigation, Bluetooth, and apps for real-time info like traffic, weather, gas prices, stock prices, and even sports scores

Engine / Powertrain

The LX 570 comes with a 5.7-liter V-8, shared with the related Land Cruiser, delivers 383 horsepower and 403 pound-feet of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels. Towing capacity is 7,000 lbs. Full time 4 wheel drive with Active traction control distributes engine power between the front and rear axles, optimizing traction in a wide variety of conditions. This keeps you securely on the road by using sensors to detect the onset of wheel slippage, automatically applying the brake to the slipping wheel, and shifting power to the wheels with the most traction.

Infotainment

The Navigation system has one of  the largest split screens in its class. The 12.3-inch high-resolution multimedia display provides immediate, simultaneous access to audio or climate controls and various systems, including the voice-activated Navigation System.

The Mark Levinson Surround Sound Audio System was engineered by a company world-renowned by audiophiles, the available 450-watt audio system was tuned for more than 4,000 hours to optimize the acoustics of the vehicle. As a result, it features 19 speakers and 7.1-channel architecture, and enough clarity for listeners to identify the spatial position of each instrument in play.

Dual Screen Rear Seat Entertainment systems enables two video sources to be viewed at the same time on LCD screens behind the front headrests. For passenger convenience, a wireless remote, wireless headphones and an AC power outlet are also included. This is sure to keep the kids or other passengers from fighting over what to watch on long road trips.

Safety

The Panoramic View Monitor has high resolution cameras that enable you to see the vehicle from many angles. The Bird’s eye view has a wow factor and you can see if you are between the lines while parked among other things.

The Lexus comes with all the safety features Lexus customers are used to having like Pre-Collision Detection System , Lane Departure Alert  and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. You basically get a gentle brake assist and/or steering wheel vibration along with sounds  if the system detects you are about to collide with a person or vehicle or depart from your lane. You can turn it off or adjust sensitivity which helps you personalize the feature.

Conclusion

The Lexus LX 570 is a mixture of class, strength and an over abundance of luxury. I think Lexus was well aware of the type of driver they wanted to attract with this very high end and off road capable SUV. For those consumers out there in the 86K plus Luxury SUV market it’s definitely worth a test drive and consideration.
