PALOMINAS — An 81-year-old woman who resides in the Palominas area was the victim of a home invasion when three men broke the glass door in her patio area and entered her home at about 11:50 p.m. Monday.
One of the men struck her and removed jewelry she was wearing. The intruders also took other items from her purse and home, said a release from the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office.
The men wore bandanas covering their faces, dark hooded jackets and latex gloves while they were inside her home, the victim told police.
The victim, who was cooperative with investigators, declined medical attention.
U.S. Border Patrol agents and Sheriff’s Assist Team members established perimeters in the area southeast of Sierra Vista and located items of evidence related to this incident.
